This new release from the Habemus Quartet is a showcase of world premiere recordings. The selections were awarded in the Second Edition of Cum Laude Music Awards International Chamber Music Composition Contest, and come from modern composers including Elena Kats-Chernin, Jesse Voogt, Gordon Kennedy, and more. The Habemus Quartet (Erica Ramallo, Vicente Cueva, Marian Herrero, and Simon Veis), was born with the mission of spreading contemporary chamber music that balances composer, interpreter, and audience. It is the only quartet in Spain dedicated to the performance of contemporary chamber music. They debuted in November 2012 at the Centro-Centro Auditorium of the Palacio de Cibeles in Madrid.
